STATEMENT OF FAITH

We desire to be a church where people encounter Jesus, grow in God’s Word, experience authentic community, discover and use their God-given gifts, and are equipped to make disciples and advance God’s Kingdom.  Everything we do flows from this purpose: to Honor God, Advance His Kingdom, and Make Disciples

Because of what we believe, we are committed to:

LOVING GOD

Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37–38

LIVING FOR HIM

2 Corinthians 5:15; Romans 12:1–2

LEADING OTHERS TO CHRIST

Matthew 28:18–20; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is the foundation for our faith, beliefs, and way of life.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105
GOD
We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and is holy, loving, just, and sovereign.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:1
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again.

John 1:1–3, 14; Matthew 1:22–23; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present ministry and power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit draws people to Christ, lives within every believer, empowers us to live godly lives, gives spiritual gifts, and equips us to fulfill God’s purposes and advance His Kingdom.

John 14:16–17, 26; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Galatians 5:22–25
HUMANITY AND SIN
We believe all people are created in the image of God and have great value and purpose. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God and in need of salvation and reconciliation with Him.

Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2
SALVATION
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace and is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We are saved by the finished work of Jesus on the cross, not by our own good works. Through Christ, we receive forgiveness of sins, new life, and a restored relationship with God.

John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9–10; Ephesians 2:8–9; 2 Corinthians 5:17–21; Titus 3:4–7
THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, build biblical community, serve others, and share the Gospel with the world.

Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:11–16
BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
We believe water baptism is an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe Communion is a sacred remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a celebration of the new covenant we have through Him.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND DISCIPLESHIP
We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of transformation. Through God’s Word, prayer, worship, biblical community, obedience, and the work of the Holy Spirit, believers grow in spiritual maturity and become more like Christ.

We believe every follower of Jesus is called to make disciples and help others grow in their relationship with God.

Matthew 28:18–20; Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 1:28; 2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18
MEN AND WOMEN IN MINISTRY AND LEADERSHIP
We believe both men and women are created in the image of God, gifted by the Holy Spirit, and called to actively participate in the life and ministry of the Church.

Throughout Scripture, we see women serving, leading, teaching, prophesying, discipling others, and advancing the Gospel. We affirm and encourage women to use their God-given gifts to serve, teach, and lead within the Church.

We believe, however, that the biblical office and role of pastor is reserved for qualified men in accordance with the teaching of Scripture.

We are committed to honoring, equipping, and empowering both men and women to faithfully use their gifts and fulfill the calling God has placed on their lives for the building up of the Church and the advancement of His Kingdom.

Genesis 1:27; Acts 2:17–18; Acts 18:24–26; Romans 16:1–7; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Titus 2:3–5; 1 Timothy 2:11–14; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
We believe God established marriage and the family as part of His design. We believe marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman and that families are called to honor God, love one another, and pass faith to the next generation.

Genesis 2:18–24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:21–33; Deuteronomy 6:4–9
THE RETURN OF CHRIST AND ETERNITY
We believe Jesus Christ will return again. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and eternal life with God for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.

John 14:1–3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–4
